Sorry to hear you caught something. I don't seem to have any problem
but I do wash my hands fairly often. Other than that, I don't take
precautions.

In theory, I agree that going to a cardroom exposes one to other
people's micororganisms but I wonder if it can be as bad as sending
kids to school. Some of the parents I know even call it "trolling for
the flu." One kid will catch something and pretty soon the whole fam
damily is sick.

Staying home, alone, in front of the computer screen is probably less
likely to get a person infected. However, it bores me to tears.
