some call it a syndicate. others call it a pool. group play.
is their anything inherently wrong with it?
most people here agree that the best way (some say the only
way) to improve your chances of a win is to play more tickets.
fine. but how do you get around the thorny problem of personal
affordability and risk?
Since the remote possibility of getting rich by plunking down a
dollar you don't need is the only rational reason for playing a
state-run lottery, you get around that problem by not plunking
down a dollor you do need.
so now it is known that you can't afford to lose a buck.no doubt you need it
for the important things in your life.like
drugs,alcohol,porno,guns,ammo,bail and lawyers.
the simplest tried and true solution is to join with others in
order to pool your resources. the obvious glaring tradeoff is
that any major win must be shared. most people realize that
going in. it comes down to a personal decision. do you want a
100% share of nothing or a smaller % of a substantial win?
You left out a few words there. "Probably nothing" and "an
unlikely substantial win."
I'll go for the jackpot. What the hell would I do with one
percent of a $50 "win"? Lose fifty cents, that's what.
spoken like a true yankee redneck.it's all or fucking nothing.no such thing
as second place and all that other claptrap you deceive yourselves with.
fortunately you're still in the minority.
it's no secret that a lot of individuals have shared a lot of
substantial winnings in lotto games around the world. a few
disgruntled perpetual losers laugh at the people who have done
so. "haha--look at the stupid bimbos who only won 1 million
each instead of the whole jackpot--what fools". this is the
crowd that believes in throwing out the baby with the bath
water. so who's laughing on their way to the bank?
The people who have won jackpots. Duh.
are those the ones from the "probably nothing" crowd or the "unlikely
substantial win" crowd?
to hear your fucked up arguments, one would get the idea that nobody ever
wins anything.truth is you don't really know what you think.you constantly
contradict yourself and rarely,if at all, make any kind of logical sense.you
argue purely for the sake of argument over practically anything that anybody
ever says here.usually over some trivial fucking obscurity that has nothing
to do with the topic of discussion.
i personally see nothing at all wrong with playing in a small
group of family members, friends or co-workers. people that you
personally know, trust and see almost every day. even so, the
terms of the pool should be clearly spelled out in writing and
agreed upon before even 1 penny is invested.
Yeah.
shiver me fucking timbers! an actual positive word.
duh! no extra emphasis required.
on the other hand, i would strongly warn against getting
involved with ridiculously large commercial syndicates that
are run as a for-profit business. you're only making someone
else rich with little chance of ever seeing a return on your
money. beware.
That's fer golderned sure...
Paying a premium for lottery tickets is EXTRA STUPID.
