I haven’t posted on this board for quite a while and am disappointed
by all the spam but something happened a few weeks ago that I think
all REAL craps players will enjoy hearing about.

I had been in AC all day with Mrs. B and had played at Borgata (down
$200) and Harrah’s (down $100), so when I stepped up to the $10 table
at Trump Marina I was somewhat discouraged.  Every table I had played
was choppy and eventually my $300 buy-in’s had been whittled down.
These are the times that craps is not a fun game.  You know – when you
stand there looking around that table and ask yourself, much in the
style of the erstwhile VP candidate Admiral Stillwell – “Who am I and
why am I here?

Anyway, I had a pretty good roll at the first table at Trump but was
annoyed by the screams of a 20-ish young lady at the table who was
obviously intoxicated and who would literally scream at each roll
regardless of outcome.  As I was rolling she kept chanting “You can do
it…You can DO it!” until I thought my head would explode.  I had to
get away fro that so I gathered my chips and walked to another $10
Table that had about 7 people.

I set up “straight-out” and saw an older gentleman, well dressed with
suit and tie accompanied by a similar-aged woman, also well dressed
who I presumed was his wife.  He was rolling and had a pass line and
some place bets.  What I didn’t notice at first was that he also had a
$100 black chip resting on the twelve.  What happened next was
something I have never experienced in all my years of playing craps.

The gentleman rolled a twelve and collected $3000.  He left his $100
bet on the twelve and instructed the crew to set up everyone at the
table with a $10 bet on the twelve.  As he shook the dice he said,
“Let’s see if that helps the karma.”  He tossed the dice and as they
settled as two sixes the table absolutely exploded!  Everyone was
“high-fiving” and whooping and collecting $300 each.  It was craps at
its absolute best.

I walked down to the man, shook his hand  and told him that in all my
years of craps playing his was the classiest move I’d ever seen.  It
really was.

Cheers,
Bojangles

Just curious, but did he set up the crew for $10 as well?
