I guess your search wasn't as complete as you thought it was.

The point of this is that Mason describes the properties of a poisson
process, but cannot make the connection between decisions and that well
known stochastic process.

in independent if you like)

I guess the large volume of hits (20,000+) is a bit overwelming. Did
anyone find a credible source or make the "connection" themselves yet?

Maybe 20K hits isn't enough for some of the trolls.
