There are two things you need to know with VP: what the payback is with the
paytable you found, and what the correct strategy is for the game you are
playing. If you don't bring your laptop, then email me the paytable and I'll
tell you what it's worth.
When you get into town, consider visiting the Las Vegas Advisor's office near
Rio (800-244-2224). They can sell you a set of strategy cards for a variety of
games, and each card has a simple and hard strategy and a couple of levels in
between.
An example of the strategy issues is this: In deuces wild, if you are playing
the full pay version that is over 100% (which you will not find on the strip and
nowhere at $1 or above) and are dealt two pair, you only keep one of them. If
you are playing "not so ugly deuces" which is 99.73%, you keep both pairs. I
read somewhere that playing NSUD with full pay strategy can cost you around 1%.
