My Walmart blueberry plants died. But the asparagus are showingPull them up and take those puppies back to Wallyworld. They take

Life is fabulous, considering the alternative.

anything back, even without a receipt. Get store credit and get some
fertilizer or something else, then go get some blueberry plants from a
decent farm store that hires people that know more than 'put it in the
ground' when you ask what to do with them.

As a minimum blueberries need an acidic soil
or at least acid fertilizer.

I keep telling my old Bat that but she insists on feeding them 8-8-8. Our
soil is very close to pH neutral so they don't do well for us but she
wants them anyway.

I acidified the soil, it's partly shady, but I think the nearly freezing
weather we had a week after I planted may have done them in. That particular
garden plot has also had nice compost mixed in yearly for about twenty
years. Should have done great. Might have been the species. Last year we
nice blueberries from Nacogdoches (raht near y'all, George!) but this
variety was Maine something or other. Why they bothered selling them here I
haven't a clue.
