Tapping fingers...
Andy The Trash Hoarder orders yet *another* dumpster. It's been less
than 10 months since your last dumpster. The social services people
must be stopping by more often and forcing you to dump that mountain
of trash and rotting food you've built up around your La-Z-Boy.
Previously you only got a dumpster every 2 years, now it's a yearly
chore. Something is wrong with this picture. You have no life that
requires a dumpster every year, so the only plausible explanation is
that you're simply too lazy and drunk to manage your trash on a daily
basis.
I need a dumpster and some strong men. Mainly I have old furniture. A few
computer chairs, couch and loveseat. This computer chair and desk need to
be replaced. Our current couch and recliner need to be replaced. When I
buy new ones, I want to find a store that will pick up the old ones and dump
them. For the couch and chair anyway.
We've been here for almost 8 years now. My husband's friend hauled some
stuff to the dump for us once but he had a small truck. Mainly it was a dog
house that was here when we moved in. And a few old pallets that were in
the back yard when we moved in. An old microwave and a few bags of stuff
that I needed to get of.
We recently dumped another old microwave and a VCR off at a local school's
thing where they were taking old appliances.
I can't imagine needing a dumpster or having things hauled to the dump all
that often but... I do know in parts of PA, there is no trash pick up.
If you place your old furnishings out at the curb in the morning it'll
disappear before nightfall... one person's trash is another's
treasure.
In our city we have three free giveaway weekends in the summer. Simply
put a free sign on it, put it at the curb and people will come along
and take it. She's right about the one mans junk is anothers treasure.
