"Debbie" <MollyMoll1st@xxxxxxxxxxx> wrote in message news:hjibc5$1s2$1@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxHas anyone got one of these? http://www.vita-mix.com/ I love the power of it and see it is being demo'd with a price of $499 and the grinder for an addition $99 in my burg. It comes with a 7 year warranty. Would like an opinion from an actual owner before I commit to $600.
I knew somebody who had one of the old steel models. They never used it. Get one used on eBay from somebody who ate the cost for a new one. You'll rarely use it unless you really like margaritas and frozen daiquiris. You can always sell it used on eBay later.

Then you're the type of sucker that would pay full boat for a Vita Mix. BTW, did you know they will cure insanity? Diabetes? Hemorrhoids? Just listen to the sales pitch.
It's an overpriced high speed blender.
Perhaps I am, but at least I would have a 7 year guarantee. I dunno.. guess I like to pick and choose which I am taken a sucker for! :-)
