<shrugs> To each their own as always! I really do love eggs.

So do I. And yeah, there is a difference in flavor. I wish we could
have a few hens and ducks where we live.

We had ducks for just a while when I was in high school. My friend and
I rescued a bunch of mallard crosses dying of cold, thirst and
starvation from a local pond during a prolonged cold snap. Put them in
the hatch of my Pinto, drove them home and put them in the dog run with
the insulated dog house, which was going unused because the dogs lived
in the house with us where they belonged.

My dad was annoyed at first but he really liked going out every morning,
lifting the roof of the dog house and helping himself to a fresh duck
egg or two for his breakfast.

I had ducks for awhile and yes, those eggs are very good also. Just
cook up a little firmer than chicken eggs do but make up for it in yolk
size.

I miss having emu eggs available. Pauli has never laid an egg and I gave
away my other 4 emus a couple of years ago. Diana and Titania used to
lay around 30 to 40 eggs per season, October thru March.
They made wonderful Omelets and Breakfast burritos.
