I had 14-just to see how many I could get at one point. Combined them

and just have 2 w/a 45K limit. <Actually I had 15, but one cancelled the

Zero, zip, nada. If I can't save my money to buy something then I
don't need it. Besides, I'm doing a Chapter 13 right now because of
the way the economy has got to hell in a hand basket. I was $16K in
debt and called my credit card company to tell them I wanted to stop
the use of the card...they said fine and jacked my interest from 6% to
27% and my payment went to over $600/month. Plus there were other
things that didn't help.

Home equity loan might be better to pay them off.

ex got the house in the divorce. business is construction related and
we all know where the construction is...down the tubes. Tried to work
with the cc company but they wouldn't budge. Life goes on and I'm
making it.

Maybe contact one of those companies where (they advertise) they can
'negotiate' your balance down? Never used them-don't know if they are any
good.
