My dad took me in the back yard and gave me a few safety rules, and
cut me loose. I spent most of my time shooting at the clothes line
pole, a nice hollow aluminum ditty that gave a most satisfactory
ringing sound when I did my part.

I still keep a cheapo bb gun around for plinking at whatever (no live
animals) when it's a nice evening and I'm have cocktails on the deck.
Our plastic pink flamingo is quite dead, having suffered numerous head
shots. ;)
