My SO gives blood, but she's only allowed (by Red Cross rules) to donate
every 3 months.

I donate plasma (every two weeks) and platelets as needed (4 times so far).

I've also been called in for screening for a possible bone marrow donation
twice. Made it to the 2nd stage of matching on the last one but was scrubbed
again. Maybe 3rd time lucky!! I've got another 8 years on the BM register
before I get 'retired'.
