$1.00 per lb. whole boneless pork loins. Just like Steve said. :-) Did
not realize that it was at HEB, our local grocery store chain!
I bought one and I just plan to slice it up into 1" thick steaks
tomorrow and portion it out for freezing, but will prepare some loin
steaks fresh over the weekend. No point in cooking the whole thing as
there are just the two of us, and I'm still seriously restricting
calories. <g>
I'd bought more lemons and limes as I'd originally planned to roast more
chicken this weekend with them until this came along so the chickens are
still in the freezer... That had turned out so well, each bird did not
last more than a day and a half for around 3 meals each. (6 servings
total per chicken).
So, I plan to try preparing some pork steaks like I did the chicken with
lemon/lime and tarragon, (along with garlic and paprika on one and
garlic and a smidge of curry on the other) then grilling them.
Thoughts?
Take a hike over to alt.binaries.food and look for a thread called
"Pork Dinner" OP by Oncler on May 30. Those pictures made my mouth
water.
I'll take a look, but I did not read or post all day yesterday so missed
this at first. <g> It's now past history, but thanks!
