Ebay has a 1981 ed., 24th printing. Starting bid $9.99 (no bids yet)
w/$4 for shipping. They say it's in "very good" condition and it does
have dustcover, but I suspect the way you talk about your copy, yours is
probably more pristine. All and all, I say you got a pretty good bargain

My personal favorite is the JOC 1975 edition. It's what I used as my
cooking bible after leaving home. A year or so ago I got a copy in
excellent condition with dustcover on ebay for about $6.50 to replace
the one I previously owned. I was thrilled at that price. I later found
a 1962 edition to surprise a friend with as it was his mother's cookbook
and it had burned in a house fire.
Enjoy your copy and I hope it gets all mucked up because you enjoy
cooking with it as much as I enjoyed mine!

When I left home after graduating, I picked up a Betty Crocker
paperback. It came in very handy and still does. I just made banana-
and date-nut bread yesterday using that recipe.
