I'm watching (listening to) NASA TV. They scrubbed the Cape Canaveral
landing
again and are go for Edwards AFB. They have another alternate site also
being
computed.
It's interesting that the Atlantic City, NJ airport is an official Shuttle
landing site, as its runway is long enough. I'd definitely drive over
there
to see it with my own eyes, but without enough advanced notice, I'd have
to
see it well after landing. Maybe someday. That would be an AWESOME
sight!!!

Had company visiting me ( we were in Houston then ) as we headed
toward NASA, we looked up and there was the shuttle flying in on the
back of a 747 ! What a sight it was! My brother and his family thought
we saw this all the time!!! We toured NASA and then went to Ellington
field where the 747 and Shuttle were parked. It was an amazing sight.
Have not see it since.

I used to work at JFK Airport. Every morning at 10AM, atop the old PanAm
building, many of the folks would come to watch the Concorde come in. The
locals called it the 'big white birdie'. Pretty impressive if you've never
seen it.
I think I'd swap that to see the shuttle on a 747 come in at JFK.
