*sigh* I'm sorry, Om. I'm in that place with my mom, and there are no
words for how much it hurts.

*hugs*
Serene, I'm sorry to hear that things are not good with your mom. The
hurt
is indescribable.

Ditto.

Thank you both. I went to see her and she's SO THIN! I kept feeding her,
but that's not a perfect solution, either, because it hurts when she
eats. :-(

ObFood: But while I was in San Diego, I did get to eat real Mexican
food, so that was good.

Serene, 4 weeks in bed refusing anything but the protein shakes I made
him and dad is starting to come out of it.

Do you want to try that route? I can share how I made them.

He's finally eating a couple of small solid food meals again and staying
out of bed more. :-)

Is there any way I can help?

Liquid food can work and that should not hurt her to consume?

Recipe: 1 cup vanilla flavored yogurt
1 1/2 cups whole milk
1 banana
2 tsp Vionate (a powdered vitamin supplement)
2 fish oil capsules to provide EFA's
2 scoops Whey Protein powder (provides 52 grams of protein).

Blend until smooth.

Dad consumed 1 to 1 1/2 of these per day. Each shake comes out to around
800 calories. He was totally sedentary so that was enough apparently.

Peace! Om
