I had to laugh at the one which says cats paw at your face while
you're asleep. One of our cats has licked my eyelid while I was
sleeping, and he once tried to stick his paw into my mouth while I
was asleep.

Mine routinely taps me on my nose in the early morning. It means "wake up and feed me" :)
I dog-sat a friend's female border collie for a few days. She slept up on the bed with the rest of the gang, which was fine, but when she felt it was time to get up she would stand over me, with her nose a fraction of an inch from my face, staring intently.
If I could lay perfectly still, without moving or blinking or laughing, in spite of the two warm, moist jets of dog breath on my face, eventually she would lay back down and leave me alone. But if I so much as twitched, she'd go all Lickasaurus Rex on me, and the game would be up.
She was a good girl, but I can't say I was sorry to see her go home.
