How come you don't like Sausage? :-) It's just spiced meat. I
know you have to eat a low iron diet, but still. ;-d
I've never liked sausage! Not even as a kid. Maybe it's the
spices, I don't know. I tend to keep my food rather bland.
kili
Ok, I can understand that. I sometimes just want bland food
too.... but you DO like garlic. <g>
Ah, but it doesn't like me! I try to avoid garlic, too. My main
seasonings are salt (and I was recently told by my doctor that I
have to use table salt with Iodine instead of Kosher or sea salt),
thyme, oregano, and basil.
kili
To me, sea salt has more flavor. Ask your doc' about Kelp capsules
for Iodine? That's what I use as I need it for my thyroid issues.
:-)
Ah, but Kelp has mega iron! I'm happy to report that since I've been
trying to be strict with iron in my diet, my liver enzymes have
dropped dramatically. They're still too high, but not anywhere NEAR
where they used to be.
Thyme, Oregano and Basil. Easy to grow, but McCormick makes an
Italian seasoning mix that has all three.
I dare you to take some ground meat and add all of the above to it.
:-) Home made sausage made to personal taste... It's a good thing
babe!
I do have Italian seasoning, but I rarely use it. Since I'm
supposed to avoid meat anyway, I'm happy with what I eat. Beef,
chicken & turkey are all off-limits. I can eat pork occasionally,
but fish, veggies and fruit are my mainstays.
What kind of chicken was it you ate last night? Was it perhaps
Southern Fried by your southern Hubby?
Mmmm.......perhaps...Satan?
TFM®
Yeah, but it's only 'cause you kind of forced it on me. You left me a thigh
even though I SAID I didn't want it. Silly boy!
