One of those nitwits I mentioned thought he was very hip calling everything "gay." It's recycled slang among the middle-schoolers and as inappropriate now as it was back in the late-70s and early-80s. He went quiet after I explained his lack of vocabulary spoke more clearly of his ignorance than his hipness. (He also led the charge about manners being old school anachronisms.)
Being a 42 year old hippie, redneck, hillbilly, my slang is as out there as it gets.
Being said 42 year old hillbilly, etc., it's understandable that my tongue may slip once every now and then. Those who know me can laugh here.
There is no excuse for a child speaking in such a manner.
