I must warn you that (unless you are running one of those 24/7 web
cams) you may be judged on the internet almost exclusively by your
literary acumen. (Did I spell that right? I'm a bit paranoid.) i
suggest you use your spell catcher and an additional proof reading to
check for those sneaky homonyms that slip right through your word
processing software.

If you wish to communicate phonetically so that we may catch any tiny
nuances due to regional accents or speech patterns. perhaps you would
prefer to use International Phonetic Alphabet. I would be pleased to
do so, but I have neither IPA font nor keyboard.

If you are using English as a second (or third, or fourth . . .)
language, please spell things any old way you choose. We'll just
chalk it up to diversity (always a good thing) and say "how charming!"

the problem with poor spelling is that people who *can* spell (maybe a
vanishing breed, but not dead yet) think you an idiot.

a different but related problem is using polysyllabic words that are close
to but not quite what you mean. some folks will shake their heads sadly
and say to themselves, 'he's fighting way above his weight class.'

hoping i've avoided the grammar nazi curse,
