Heya folks,
I took my laptop into the shop yesterday, to see if it could be fixed
and anything salvaged. They just called me, and told me they were
able to recover my data.
So it looks like I will get all my recipes back!!
By the way, the hard drive died..that was the problem. They put in a
new hard drive, so that should be fixed....
I do have a backup now, and I will definitely be backing everything
up.
Price for all of this? $215, which I am thinking is totally
reasonable for a new hard drive and recovery of all the data....
Now, to celebrate (tonight or tomorrow) I will fix one of those saved
recipes ..... I will have to look to see what I have.....

Good for you! Are you backing up your whole drive to an external drive with
imaging software, or just your data on a flash drive. I had a flash drive
with all of my backed up data fail.
