I'm a bit older than you are so you might not remember the days when you upgraded to 4MB RAM and had a 1200 baud modem you were THE ***... I'm just amazed at how technology has advanced since the late 70s.

I started with an Osborne One in 1983, 300 baud modem, finally bought a 12 inch amber screen monitor and it hooked it up. Then bought an 80-character board and hooked it up. Lots of fun swapping 5 1/4 floppies back and forth. Must have had a hundred of the things. Printed on an Epson MX-80 with graftex. Between the O1 and the Epson I had nearly two grand in the things. Ran CPM for a good while and then ZCPM. I think one of my grandkids still has the thing. I do miss the camaraderie of the Osborne First group though.
