Me too. When I was a kid it was usual for women to get married, hopefully to
someone with a good job, and to stay home and look after the kids. If hubby
didn't have a good job the wife would have to go out and work too. Then along
came Women's Lib and employment equity. Nobody bats an eye when a women stays
at home to look after the kids, but their are not many parents out there who
want their daughter to marry a guy without a job if he is able to work.
I should talk. I am able to work but chose not too. I opted for an early
retirement, as did my wife. However, I did promise myself that if I ever
found myself watching Jerry Springer or its ilk in the afternoon I would have
to get out and find another job.
