You've mentioned first dates a couple of times now. I've never been

Don't get me wrong. I don't mind a bit of gallantry from time to time. Sure, it's nice if a man says "oh no, it's my treat!" But if he's going to beat you over the head with it later it's not worth it. Ahem, no, you conveniently forgot I said, "please, allow me" and refused. EGO.
