Not worth compromising a bunch of more costly ingredients and
expending the time and labor over a dollar or two worth of slimey
carrots.

Do you have deer browsing in your yard, I know mine will eat frozen
carrots while still frozen. When I woke up this morning (6PM) my
personal weather station said the temperature outside my window was -
8.5F, that's minus 8.5... the tv news said there was a new record set
for this date in NY's capitol region.
