Thank you, Ophelia, the book is written in English and Dave Smith and I were kidding around about my ability to read it, without pulling off the plastic in which the book is enclosed. :o)
I was showing my mother how you can listen to a sample of music on a CD at Barnes & Noble. I showed her how you put the earphones on and put the barcode of the CD under the scanner. She asked how it worked. I explained how the machinka looks through the plastic wrap and plastic case and reads the data on the disc inside. She doubted me. I insisted. Why don't you use the same technology to read the print in a book you can't open?
