Hi
This is not spam but I happened onto this site and it listed the
10 best and worst foods.
I'm just quoting from the site.
Just a note ... I don't see a link to this source in this article, and it
would be helpful to have it at the top of the article so that people can
look for themselves.
10 WORST FOODS
Foods You Should Never Eat
<snip>
No real argument about the calorie punch in a lot of prepared restaurant
food. It's even more insidious than packaged foods for those of us who
were taught to read labels, as it's more effort to find the numbers.
But this is not a big surprise to the nutritionally aware - and there are
some good basic suggestions ("leave off the whipped cream", "no cheese")
for the non-nutritionally aware. (It's not sweet, so it must be ok,
right? RIGHT?!?! ;)
Similarly - the "good food" list is full of good stuff. Mind you, there's
a lot of room to be not-so-great-for-you-overall in the prep. I had a
side of whipped sweet potatoes at a local wonderful tacqueria yesterday
that was full of butter and cream. (it was like dessert but man it was
good) Fortunately they served it in smallish portions ;).
And the binary "you should NEVER eat this" is just wrong. You can ... as
long as it's 1) occasional and 2) you balance out your diet to eat
lower-calorie/lower fat things - or just plain less.
(The Starbuck's thing does make a good point - when you drink your
calories, they tend to not satisfy hunger. Run the calorie counts for
Jamba Juice's stuff as well and do the math.)
just curious thx
