We must be the same generation (raised by Depression survivors.)
It pains me to read newsgroups or journals by young people who say
"No matter how bad the economy gets, I couldn't live without...
--five bedroom/four bath house with three car garage
--58 inch plasma TV with TIVO, BluRay, Netflicks, etc.
--cell phones
--mini van/giant SUV
--high speed Internet connection
--four vacations a year
--private school
--restaurant lunches every day
--Starbucks/Whole Foods"
You get the point--whatever "I" want to make me feel superior.
