Funny, though - I've known a number of people who got laid off, only to
fall on their feet and land a much better job because of their
experience. Good luck.

Happened to me. I got made redundant from my job as a systems analyst
earlier this year.

Used the payout to go back to school and learn how to be an electrician.

I _love_ this work. Should've done it years ago.
