Why? It works perfectly for various purposes.


Two of the main reasons that many object to Outlook Express have been:

1. Top posting as a default.

2. Signature delimiter of "--" does not include the extra space after the
dashes (it should be "-- "), resulting in other newsreaders not properly
removing the signature from replies to posts.


I wasn't clear in my previous message. I was referring specifically to the
"Identities" feature in OE. But, other users are limiting their
understanding of this feature to one meaning: Posting with different
identities for whatever reason. The feature in OE could certainly be used
for that purpose, but there are other reasons for using it.
