OK, I forgot as well. My old college bud up in Weed (7,000 ft "high" up

Hey... 7000 feet isn't anything to be sneezed at!
;)
At first I thought you meant Weed, CA - which is a little over 4000
feet above sea level.
There is a town Weed, NM, which when I saw it in the 60's was nothing but
an
abandoned mining town; one that will remain in my memory because of the
large brick hospital still standing. Not a soul in site. Would've been a
wonderful place for a movie.
Always wondered what happened to this town, and I just looked up Weed,
NM,
and it doesn't appear to be anything like that at all.
It's alive! :)

Thanks, Blinky, I saw those pages.
These buildings were substantial enough to be still standing and if there
were tourists to come, they would have had historic value. So beautiful, I
saw nothing to reflect this beauty on those pages. But it lives in my
memory.
I did see a picture on the site of the school which they said burnt in the
1930's.
