Thanks to the folks who suggested aioe.org for a news server, I
finally feel like I've got my Usenet "life" back...I can read this
froup without going to Google and WADING through all that
spam...Google is on the verge of being fairly unusable...I like their
service but they REALLY need to get a handle on the spam problem.

I'm using it right now. The only problem I have with it is it will not
allow crossposting. I will sometimes crosspost in in unrelated to food
groups like my gardening groups. Best of all it is a freebie ;)

I see the weather down by you is cooler, it's about time. Sunny, lovely,
and LOW HUMIDITY here...

I am on a jag making things for various "do's" this weekend, e.g 10 lbs. of
tater salad, 6 lbs. of cole slaw, a coupla dishes of baked beans, and some
peanut noodles (everything made from scratch)...this is pretty much the last
spurt of such summertime cooking, after this it'll be Crockpot City with
autumnal foods. I'm thinking of things like sauerbraten, etc...
