The truth is you are too old to be drinking milk. But, if you don't
want soy or dairy milk, try rice milk. It's similar to soy milk and
should satisfy your craving with a little mental adjustment.

Funny.
I've not consumed milk in years. Neither has dad.
I don't get why anyone not in the growth years would even want it.
But, that's just us.
We do consume some fermented dairy products, but not daily.
There are plenty of other calcium sources.
Cheese is a whole 'nuther subject being an art form and all. <G>
I have cheese daily and I haven't drank milk since I left my mom's house
at
age 18. I actually have *too* much calcium in my system and that's mostly
due to cheese. Pretty good for someone with a lactose intolerance. :~)
Gas, pain, bloating, etc. I gotta have my cheese! Milk, I only use in
recipes like soups or sauces. If I'm needing milk, I tend to use cream or
half and half because, again, it's only going into something. It's not
going to be consumed as is.
The irony of the whole thing (ha, I said iron and I have too much of that
in
my system as well), is what 40 year old woman's blood actually contains
too
much calcium? I was told I needed to lower my intake. Yeah, okay!

If your blood contains a high level of calcium, it means that the calcium is
being taken from your bones and transferred into your blood. Hence
osteoporosis from not having enough calcium in your bones. So getting the
blood calcium to the norm is important. To say it another way:
Higher is not better. It means that your calcium is being leached out of
your bones into your blood making your calcium reading higher.
My calcium level was high, and my Vitamin D level was very low. Doctors
will prescribe tests for calcium rates, but most often erroneously will not
prescribe D at the same time, but both these tests work together to give a
true picture.
I, naturally would not take my word as gospel as to what I have explained,
but it is opposite of what is normally thought -- and the impression I
had --
With your health and mine in mind.
