'took the initiative in creating the internet' does not mean 'invented
the internet.' he supported it in congress, and the spread of the
darpa network to civilian use. the 'inventing the internet' trope is
a right-wing tactic to promote the image of gore as a madman with
delusions of grandeur tinkering in the basement. see the quote is
posted upthread. if not for gore's involvement, it's likely you would
not be reading this now.

no, we can judge science based on peer-reviewed journals and the like,
not 'scientists' paid by the oil companies. the science involved in
global warming is not in serious dispute. you might as well argue
about evolution, which some republicans can't deal with either.

i agree, it's kind of silly to emphasize the 'carbon-neutral aspect,'
but if he doesn't rush limbaugh et al. jump on him and some people eat
it right up. 'ha-ha, liberals are so crazy!'
