I will be going to Penzeys tomorrow on my way through Memphis. Gonna
buy out the store, I think. ;)
I need some saffron. I know that Penzeys saffron has been talked about
here, but I cannot remember which one was recommended as being really
top notch.
Anyone remember?
They're all good but the mogra is the best... buy a gram of each and
try them to find your favorite. I suggest you don't buy more than you
anticipate using in a year.
And remember, saffron may be the most expensive spice to buy but it's
not the most expensive to use... a little goes a long way. And after
a point you're only wasting it, adding more will not increase the
saffron flavor, that will only make the dish bitter. With saffron
less is more.
