I've already bought $800 worth of diamond earrings for $147..........

Years ago, my mother had a catalogue from a jewellery store in Bangkok
and had been told that anything you buy there is worth at last five
times the list price. She offered to buy my wife and my sisters in law
anything they wanted from the catalogue. My wife was the only one who
took her up on the offer. I was sceptical and figured that she would
send the cheque for $30 to Charlie's Reliable Jewellers and that was
the last you would see of you money. A few weeks later the ring
arrived in the mail. A year or two later we bough our house and my
wife had to get her jewellery appraised for insurance purposes. Just
for a laugh we threw the ring in with the good stuff. The $30 ring
(gold and studded with rubies) was valued at $350.

I'll be getting the stuff I bought looked at when they come in.
