Re: Children and vegetables: Is it worth it?

When my niece was a baby she wasn't crazy about cooked or raw
vegetables but loved to munch on frozen mixed vegetables. After my
sister discovered this, she always brought home a few boxes of frozen
mixed veggies and sat the baby on the kitchen table as she unpacked
the bags. When niecy saw the box, she'd break into a wide grin and
made her popping/clacking "I want to eat that" noise. My sister
opened the box and we all watched as the baby happily crunched her way
through a good part of its contents.

What a smart mom! She paid attention to what the baby liked (and how she
liked it) and took it from there. Makes you wonder how many of us would say,
"Oh, no, baby, I have to cook them first!"
