I prefer buying the canned tuna with oil. The tuna packed in water

of fish oil in our diets?

I drain the oil but hate to see it go down the drain.
I have no pet or plants.. so can't shre with either..
what can I do to 'recycle' the fish oil? I don't want to absorb
ALL of it myself. :-)

It's not fish oil that it's packed in, it's soybean oil (usually). Fish oil would be too expensive.

Fish oil is made by rendering fish, often menhaden, to extract the oil. The process is similar to rendering pork scraps to make lard, or rendering chicken or goose fat to make schmaltz. The other byproduct from rendering fish is fish meal.

I wouldn't worry about tossing the oil down the drain.
