In the above message, the wrap is at 86 characters.

Really?

Yes. You can easily see it yourself in the Google archive.

BTW, are you aware that MSOE effectively sabotages people's filtering by
stripping the subject headers of anything of four letters or fewer
followed by a colon, such as "OT:", "PING:", "REC:", etc.? Why use it
at all? With the exception of WebTV, as well as Google and similar
online atrocities, virtually every newsreader in existence is better
than MSOE.

I use OT so that people can ignore the message if they want to. I think
that is what most of us do on here.

Now read the quoted text again, please. Pay attention to the word
"stripping".

In this thread, you yourself used "OT:" in your original post and then
you yourself, or rather the excresence of a newsreader you are using,
*stripped* it in the very next followup of yours in which you replied to
your own post.

I use MSOE because I'm not wise; I'm
familiar with it and put up with all its vagaries, which translates to " we
get what we deserve." Thanks, Victor.

Dora, I hope you do not really think it is all only about you and your
travails. You are posting with your broken software to a fairly popular
worldwide newsgroup, after all. You do not really think other people
also deserve the vagaries of your broken software just because you are
familiar with it... or do you...?

I said it before and I'll say it again: I do not care one bit what you
use for a newsreader and how you live with it. I care only about what I
get to read as a result. Why make it difficult for other people to
select and read your posts, especially if they - I for one - do want to
read them?

ObFood: Tomato and salty cucumber salad. Cube 2 tomatoes and 2-3
pickles (salty, not vinegary, cucumbers). Mince 2-3 cloves of garlic
very finely. Mix everything with about 100 g (3.5 oz) home-made
mayonnaise. Sprinkle with 1-2 tablespoons parsley or celery. Sour
cream can be used instead of mayonnaise.

Victor
