I am surprised that this does not happen more often with fresh
vegatables, and wonder how washing the vegtables would solved the
problem. In the area I live there was a big problem with green onions
and I think some people died.

They really should list the brands that are responsible.

My news reports said specifically that CDC didn't have that info as of story
time and that further info would come today. My state is one of the ones
involved and the advice is just to throw the spinach away.
