It's 5:30ish here and I can't get back to sleep. Soooo... I decidedsome
to eat. Naturally. I'll be having some eggs over easy, sausage
patties, hash brown potatoes and some nice, peppery, country gravy.
Maybe I'll toast
of the thick Italian bread too.
Oh Michael, I forgot to ask you, how did yer Pride thang go last
Sunday?
Ugh... hot and sultry.
Monday I looked on the Post - Disgrace website for a story about your
parade. There was some sad sack story about some rural sad sack "ex -
Christian" lesbian who was dealing with "coming out"...yaaaaaaaaaaawn. Is
it 1978 or something...??? It was one of the more depressing things I've
read as of late :-|
nothingI had planned on going here, but it was cloudy and raining so sat it
out. I can hear the whole thing a half -block away anyways so I
enjoyed it "vicariously"...not that there was anything different this
year from all the ones I've seen in the past.
Same old here. Nothing new and exciting. I worked, sweated and did
unusual.
After a few decades those bar floats with LOUD disco music all kinda blur
together...
Sunday evening one of the local channels ran a one - hour special on the
parade so I was able to see it that way...I didn't miss anything. After a
few minutes I switched over to an old _Perry Mason_ re - run...BTW did you
know that Mason's detective sidekick on that show William Hopper (Hedda's
son) was gay? Of course so was Raymond Burr :o)
Sunday nite we got a real good downpour so at least most of the rubbish on
the street from the parade was somewhat washed away ;-)
