what are yours?

Working. We're having a potluck at work, and I have to take
something. Not sure what yet.

Christine

Steven's family is coming over. I'm having some ribs, chicken boobs and
hot dogs (for the kids) prepared on the grill. The usual sides, slaw,
potato salad, fruit salad and whatever else comes to mind.

I think I need to take a side dish... Someone else is bringing beef
barbecue and buns.... The potluck theme is bbq/picnic foods.

I am thinking of making coleslaw, either a straight traditional
variation, or a sweet and sour variation (with no mayo). Also
thinking of trying to steal the show with Barb's brownies.. ;)

Any other side dish ideas that fit this theme? Someone else is
bringing macaroni salad... And I forget what else is already spoken
for. I have also thought of making the Barefoot Contessa Onion dip,
with real caramelized onions.

The real "clincher" is this. I will have worked a 12 hour shift the
night before, and will be going back to work less than 12 hours later.
Not too much time to do anything..so anything I fix has to be done
quickly, or in advance (like the day before). Barb's brownies fit
that bill..so does coleslaw..

But I am interested in other ideas too. The last potluck we had, on
Memorial Day, I got rave reviews for my BBQ Bean Salad. I am entirely
immodest and want to get rave reviews again. ;)

WHAT? Winning the "Kay Hartman Cook-In Overachiever's Award" isn't enough
for you?
