I think it's totally over the top to suggest she have both breasts

kili is
being scared to death without having any informed medical diagnoses. Do
not
DARE tell her to have her breasts hacked off without a diagnosis first.
And
even if it is cancer, her surgeon will tell her whether or not she she
should have her breast removed. You just don't go having your breasts
hacked off "because" or "maybe". Sorry, but that's my feeling.

This is true too. Although there are a few folks that have such a strong
family history and genes that can almost guarantee a problem eventually
that they are advised or choose to obtain the bilateral mastectomy in
advance. That is very unusual and for most of us unncessary, but it does
exist for a small unlucky group of women.
For all we know Kili might have some simple benign cysts (which can be
painful) and a case of cat scratch fever which could account for the
enlarged lymph nodes. Until the biospy, we'll never know?

You're right, but both surgeons I've seen are suggesting cancer. I know we
won't know until the lumpectomy/biopsy is determined. I'm just preparing
myself. When two surgeons are telling me the outcome may be a mastectomy,
what else is one to think?

I'm just trying to paddle along here.

My masses themselves aren't painful, but they're pressing on my lymph nodes
and glands, which are all swollen and they are also hitting some nerves, so
every now and then I get a ZING in my heart and armpit, which are extremely
uncomfortable, at best. I'm just saying, I don't know what it is, but two
surgeons have suggested, not said in words because they can't, but have
insinuated cancer.

They might do a quick frozen section of the tumors after removal while
you are still on the table to see? If they are malignant, will they then
do a mastectomy on the spot while you are still under?

Just wondering what the game plan is........

and PRAYING they are benign!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
