If you don't mind a personal question (my address above is good if you don't feel like talking about it on the group), what was the prescribed pain killer for? I'm in a situation where I've asked my doctor for something (not necessarily oxycontin) to help with debilitating pain, but she's decided that I'm not in enough pain for her to prescribe it. I'm wondering what sort of words or histrionics get through to doctors. (I further wonder how she knows what I'm feeling.)
