Yep. I shed about a pound at the hand of my barber. Time: 5 minutes. Cost
$11.00

She even trimmed my eyebrows!

I feel so light, I can FLY! ;)

Bet you look cute. Having said that, do you mean Bi-annual
or Semi-annual? So I can be clear on it. (laugh)

Hmm, it's a haircut, not a PAP smear! <g>

Semiannual means every six months. Biannual means twice as year, not
necessarily at evenly spaced intervals. I'm pretty sure Andy means
semiannual, like his PAP smear. hehe

I don't go to a barber anymore, there aren't any haircutters
(haircutters are not barbers) up here in hillybilly land that are still
there the next time, none seem to stay in one spot very long. So it
was kind of disconcerting to find someone who did a decent job and then
the next time someone else butchered my hair. After aboiut six months
of disappointments I decided to try cutting my own hair. I have one of
those Oster "sheep-shear" thingies, and lo and behold it's pretty easy
to give myself a nice haircut. I sit out on the deck and have at it,
no hair in the house. I should have done this years ago, because even
downstate it had become pretty difficult to find a real barber shop
anymore. I really didn't like those unisex joints, where they insisted
on rewashing my freshly shampooed mop, and then I was subjected to all
those awful chemical fumes, and it took a long time to get out of
there, like hours. Now I cut my hair out in the clean fresh air and
I'm done in about a half hour, that includes a nice hot shower to wash
off all the clippings. That's another thing about those unisex joints,
they lie, there's no sex... you'd think the shampoo gal would at least
jump into the shower with me afterwards to massage off all the
clippings.
