Glad you had a good time?
I'd have passed on bottled water and spent my money on the wine. I recall
so many years ago in Rome, one restaurant put the bottle of wine on the
table and you just drank it like water, as much as you wanted, one
charge. It was pour-your-own, just like a pitcher of ice water. Those
must've been the days.
Otherwise, how was Italy? Where did you go?

We had a great time.

Some places still put the bottle or pitcher on the table at very cheap
prices.

We went to Rome, Assisi, Siena, Florence, Venice, Como.

Side note:
My wife has a heart condition and she caught a cold making her short of
breath and difficult to walk. At the British Airways check in, I asked
for a wheelchair. Figured I ask again at our stop in London. There was
no need. The sent a char and took her through security and to a special
waiting area. From there, they took us to board first. We were met in
London and escorted the same way and taken on a special lift truck right
onto the plane. We were met again in Boston and assisted through
customers, baggage claim and take right to our car. The service was
phenomenal. You'd have thought she was the Queen. Other airlines maybe
that good too, but BA was splendid.

I understand about travel -- even as a young woman, traveling would really
bring me to my knees. We usually spent 3 weeks at a time traveling and I
would spend the last week fighting off colds/flu/respiratory problems.

Your wife is Your Queen. I'm glad they took such good care of her. That is
a scary situation. But I'm glad you and she are able to travel together.
Best of health,
Dee Dee
