Non-archiving messages

From time to time if I want to save all the messages under a group subject,
I will go to google>groups>rec.food.cooking> and enter the subject. It then
lists all the postings, and I am able to save them in one Word document.

I've been meaning to ask this: But there is sometimes a note after an
individual's posting which says something like this:

"Note: The author of this message requested that it not be archived. This
message will be removed from Groups in 5 days (Apr 5, 10:19 pm). "

How does one accomplish creating their postings as 'not archived."
I would like to do this.
Does one request that all messages under the rfc be non-archived, or is it
done specifically on a particular thread that one have chosen?
