You don't seem to get my point. *I'm* one of the people who can't
afford to make ends meet. When my pay went down, I got behind on
bills. I am slowly catching up on bills, but I am working hard to cut
costs. And this is while renting my parent's basement. If I had to pay
a realistic rent payment, I'd be on the street. It just isn't
possible.

And you are still ignoring my point about minimum wage. The costs went
up because of minimum wage, so the person making minimum wage did NOT
get ahead. They have a higher number on their paycheck, but their
costs went up too. So, it didn't really help them. It's a euphamism.
Raising the minimum wage makes people think things are better, but
they don't realize what the effects were. Costs went up - for
everybody, including them.

ever itemized how much you spend on things? my costs haven't been going up, they've been going down... (particularly myu rent that doesn't get raised by the cost of living..)
