I am curious as to how it was determined to add rec.food.cooking to the
various other cross postings of Chung's. I know I would have to ask
Chung -- which I don't care to do.
I'm not an expert on Chung, nor do I care to become one, but when this
started happening I got the impression that someone from here had
engaged him elsewhere and that's how he got over here. He may have
initiated the crossposting or the other person may have.
It's the same thing as what is happening with one of the Bobs. Someone crossposted and there were some replies then the crossposting is now up to 3 ng instead of 2. It is now destined to grow from there :(
Crossposting is bad enough but the way he keeps changing his screen
name is heinous. If crossposting is littering, deliberately thwarting
people who want to killfile your spam is vandalism IMO.
I finally got chung killfiled nicely then his sock puppets started up. PCVC is another poster that continuously tries to evade killfiles. I used the same technique on it as I did chung. You have to killfile based on something other than its name <hint>
My thoughts - These crossposters and trolls want attention yet seldom read the ngs they post to. Some trolls will read to see if they get attention but the crossposters don't. They are looking at bring other trolls into the crossposted ngs. That tactic works only if we let it. Killfiles and ignorning go a long way!
