I miss that, too. We have thunder and lightning many times, but no rain
to
go with it. We also have a lot of heat lightning. I miss those good ole
thunderstorms.

I grew up loving those thunderstorms on the Ohio River. My mom and I in the
early 40's would go out on the porch swing and wait for the thunder and
lightning. On certain nights if Inner Sanctum was on the radio, we would
turn the lights out inside and listen while it was thundering and lightning.
One time during the day we were on the porch swing during this kind of
occurrence and our house dog who was under the tree closest to the house got
sent up in the air about 6' by a lightning strike. He survived, but the
tree didn't. When we lived on the West Coast, Wayne, I missed these storms,
too. I still love these storms, even when they strike our well 500' deep
and we have had to have it replaced 3x, each time with more expensive
equipment, and now I hope (fingers crossed) we've upgraded where Mother
Nature won't touch it anymore (knock on wood).
Wishing you the best of weather in the next few days (and longer, too, of
course).
Dee Dee
